Who we are

SixtyTools is an independent web platform dedicated to a single idea: everyday calculations and conversions should be fast, accurate, and free of friction. We are not a venture-backed startup chasing sign-ups, nor an ad network dressed up as a utility. We are a focused project that maintains sixty carefully built tools spanning measurement, cooking, design, text, engineering, health, data, and finance.

Every tool on the platform answers a specific, real-world question — how many tablespoons are in a cup, what a length converts to in centimetres, how a colour translates from hex to RGB, what a concrete pour will weigh. Rather than spreading ourselves thin across thousands of shallow pages, we keep a deliberately bounded set of tools and invest in making each one genuinely useful. Our mission

Our mission is to remove the small daily frictions that come from needing a quick, reliable answer and not having a trustworthy place to get it. Search results for simple conversions are often cluttered with intrusive pop-ups, slow-loading pages, and tools that quietly send your input to a server. We believe a calculator should load instantly, work the moment you arrive, explain its reasoning, and never treat your data as a product.

We measure success not by time-on-site or engagement metrics, but by whether you got your answer and left satisfied. A tool that lets you finish quickly and move on is a tool that has done its job.

Why we built the platform

SixtyTools began from a simple frustration shared by anyone who works with numbers: the tools scattered across the web are inconsistent. One converter uses a different rounding rule than the next; one calculator hides its formula; another buries the answer beneath advertising. There was no single place that combined breadth, accuracy, clarity, and respect for the person using it.

We set out to build that place. Our philosophy

Your input is yours. The tools process everything locally in your browser, which means the numbers, text, and files you work with are never uploaded to us or anyone else. We do not operate accounts, we do not build profiles, and we cannot see what you calculate. Browser-first processing

Because the tools run client-side, they are fast and private by design. This architecture is a deliberate technical choice that serves the privacy principle above.

No registration

You never need an account to use SixtyTools. Requiring registration would mean collecting personal data we neither need nor want, and it would put a barrier between you and a two-second calculation. Everything on the platform is available immediately, to everyone, with nothing to sign up for.

Free to use

All sixty tools are free, with no usage limits and no paid tier. The platform is supported by unobtrusive advertising rather than subscriptions, which keeps every tool open to everyone regardless of budget. What we are committed to

Accessibility

Tools are only useful if everyone can use them. We build to recognised accessibility standards: keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast in both light and dark themes, screen-reader-friendly markup, and clear focus states. Accessibility is treated as a requirement, not an afterthought, and it is checked as part of our build process.

Speed

Every page is engineered to load quickly. The site is static, dependency-free, and lightweight, so it responds immediately on slow connections and modest devices. We resist the temptation to add heavy frameworks or trackers that would slow the experience down.

Accuracy

We use exact, internationally recognised conversion factors and standard formulas, and we show the method on each tool so you can verify the result. Where a subject has genuine nuance — the difference between binary and decimal storage units, or why a cup is a different size in different countries — we explain it rather than hiding it behind a single number.

Looking ahead

Our roadmap is guided by depth rather than sprawl. Instead of racing to add hundreds of thin tools, we plan to keep refining the sixty we have — improving explanations, expanding the reference material on our blog, sharpening accessibility, and keeping the platform fast as the web evolves. Where we add new tools, they will meet the same standard as the rest: accurate, explained, private, and genuinely useful.

We also intend to keep the platform honest about how it is funded and how it handles data. As privacy expectations and regulations change, our policies will change with them, and we will always disclose what we do plainly rather than in fine print.
